Here's a couple of tracks from the Agari Crew. The album is in stores now in Japan and will be available in the US soon. Check out "Chosen" and "Don't Think U Want It" Also check out the "Chosen" video as well it's pretty hot. The Agari movement consists of MC's, singers, b-boys, DJ's, graf artists and clothing designers. Real Hip Hop shit. Enjoy.

So I keep a crazy schedule and only watch TV at my girl's house to catch a game when I'm lucky. I do watch alot of MTV and VH1 between the hours of 3 and 5 AM and they show the craziest commercials. I just had to post them. Enjoy.
So as you should know I'm gearing up to drop "I Am Not A Hipster" very soon. Here is a taste of what i have in store. This is "Make Money" produced by AWOL N8. Enjoy. zSHARE - OMAYGA_Make Money.mp3
Here is a video from the last Hip Hop show I performed. I got to rock with all my homeys and the crowd showed hella love. Good looking out to Musicbox on the recording. Hope u enjoy this. "I Am Not A Hipster" coming soon!
Yo this is some dope shit. I had the pleasure of ripping some freestyles with the Agari Crew on the Chris Hope Show on Harvard Radio. The group that went in on this track is P Soul, Maestro1Ton, myself, MusicBox and A Minor. Enjoy.
Alright so what do you do when you're headed to the Grammys and you're arguably the biggest male solo pop star in the industry and you spazz out and beat the tar out of your girlfriend who happens to be the biggest female pop star in the industry? If you're Chris Brown you completely bitch up and try to fool people into loving you again. This high yellow nigga went from wearing Billioinaire Boys Club to V-Neck Sweaters and bow ties. Every piece of video f Chris Brown that has been released post RiRi beat down have been lame attempts to recapture his place back in pop culture's heart. I don't buy any of it. Beat-A-Hoe-Down Brown just isn't keeping it 100. Here is his first full interview since the incident where he is getting drilled by Larry King.
Ok so this situation is just all backwards. Let's start with the fact that if you're a millionaire football player you should never unlawfully cary arms (you have the money for security). Secondly, no one should serve two years in prison for shoting themselves. And thirdly, Virginia-born athletes are crazy!!! I can't really put into words how bothered I am by this situation. On November 28, 2008 Plaxico Burres accidentally shot himself while in a Manhattan nightclub. He was later indicted for criminal possesion of a handgun. Today he accepted a plea to serve two years in prison. Now the underones of racism and intolerance of black NFL players are apparent but Plaxico could've dfinitely dodged this bullet (I couldn't resist). I think his case and Mike Vick's situation are completely different altough neither one of them are doing much to help the way black sports figures are perceived in white America. Although I believe his punishment is too harsh, this dude deserves whatever he gets. Once you move into a certain tax bracket you don't have to be hands on with the street shit. Put your entourage on an actual payroll and have them as your security. Don't be harder, be smarter. Damn. Don't fumble the soap.
So this may not be Hova's most critically acclaimed effort but I'm excited for the video I mean how can you go wrong with Kanye West and Rihanna on the track? Enjoy
It's three of the most over saturated artists in the game...I like this jam though. So here is the "DIgital Girl Remix" from Jamie Foxx ft. Kanye West and Drake
Ok so it's been a while since I've been putting any effort into my blog site. I have been going through things including the recent death of my grandfather and just have not been able to focus on much. I haven't been in the studio. I haven't been writing. I haven't even set up my drums in weeks. I've also been neglecting some of my friends. I was pretty depressed so I felt it was time to really focus on myself and reassess some things i my life. Well after weeks of sitting around depressed watching hella MTV Jams and Golden Girls at my mom's house I am now ready to start putting my all in my career which includes maintaining this site...you know, letting you guys know what's hot and keeping you up on current events. The O Chronicles is officially back bitches!!!!!!
This is one of my favorite songs from one of the hardest workers in the game right now. I'm not going to lie I wasnt feeling him for a while now I'm back riding with homey. Enjoy.
Alright this is another one of my guilty pleasure songs. I was a little too excited when the video came out. The title is pretty self explanatory. This one is not for the youg'ns. Enjoy.
This is my favorite joint off of Fif's Forever King mixtape. I love the remake of Intro's "Funny How Time Flies". I wonder if Soulja Boy's fans ever heard of Intro? Nevermind...enjoy the video.
I haven't completely forgiven Kid Cudi for his on again off agin love with the game but I like his new video so I posted it. It's a cool song and you really cnnot go wrong a Kanye and Common feature over a Kanye beat. Enjoy.
I'll be in the Bay Area in a couple weeks and I'm loving the music coming out f my hometown right now. This video was shot in Akron, Ohio (hometown of Ampachino). This is just some hard street shit. Enjoy.
I had the pleasure of chilling out with this dude last time I was in NY. French Montana is signed to Akon's Konvict Music label and has a strong New York street following. I'm very interested in seeing where his career goes.
This is a dope joint Mack 10 who's remained moderately relevant throughout his 15 year career. The production from Jazze Pha is little dated but it's still a fun song. Enjoy.
This is definitely my favorite group in rap right mow. They are the best balance between star power and lyrics. Here is Slaughterhouse's newest joint "The One". Enjoy.
These guys are the most talented underrated group in the industry. They've been dealt shady hands by the labels yet have remained relevant to their core fans. Check out what they have to say about where they've been and where they're headed.
Here is former Bad Boy recording artist Loon on Canadian TV talking about his conversion to following Islam and his new path in life. More power to him.
I'm a couple days late on this but I was having internet problems. If you aren't already tired of hearing "Best I Ever Had" by Drake it's about to get worse. He finally dropped the video which I my opinion did not disappoint. The women in this are jaw dropping. Enjoy.
Here is Oakland native Balance and San Francisco's own Big Rich (who's album "Heart Of The City" dropped today) performing their newest joint "Can't Go". They're joined by Jimmie Reign and The Jacka (who's album "Tear Gas" is currently the #4 rap album in the country). Enjoy.
Here are some documentaries in remembrance of the King Of Pop. The first is a documentary that was shot while journalist Martin Bashir lived with Michael Jackson for 8 months. The second is a documentary by BBC which includes family interviews. Enjoy.
I know I know I know...its been over 2 weeks since my last post but I am back damnit!!!!! I'm so excited rite now my favorite MC ever is realigning things in rap with his song "Death Of Autotune (DOA)" Here is the video for the song as well as his performance from last night's BET Awards
In case u thought hyphy was all the bay had to offer u got the game backwards. Here are 2 new videos from The Jacka and Erk The Jerk. The Jacka's album drops June 16 go cop that. I've heard it and it goes hard. The Jacka- Fed Up
I've been waiting for this one. This dude is a breath of fresh air in an era of dancing of dope boy rap. This guy is just plain sick. He also shot part f this at the Boston underground clothing boutique, Bodega Enjoy.
Yo so just got back to Boston after grinding it out pretty hard in New York. I was in the studio 80% of the day so I was inspired to post this. Here is a studio session with Play-N-Skillz, Chamillionaire, T-Pain, Birdman, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent and a special guest. Enjoy.
These guys are making alot of noise in the Boston Hip Hop scene. Besides being good friends of mine they are extremely talented musicians. Look out for the Agari Crew album coming very soon!!!!
Aight i'm down with the trap stars and what not but lyrics are still my shit. Some people have been getting at me about really getting down with OJ Da Juiceman and Shawty Lo but I understand the south has more to offer than your cliche gold grill candy paint rap. Here are some artists I'm feeling right now.
Charles Hamilton been taking losses since I've heard about him. He has had issues with Rhymefest, Wale and now some chick punched him in the face during an impromptu rap battle...
Yo I love the boom bap Hip Hop but I'm feeling the stuff coming from new artists in the south. It may not be the most forward thinking lyrics wise but the beats are hard and the songs are tight. Here are some vids I'm rocking... Dorrough Music- Ice Cream Paint Job
I know I've been slippin' on the daily posts once agin but I've been grindin'!!! I'm back though with a vid that caught my attention. Here's a 20/20 clip about Hip Hop from 1981.
I haven't been disappointed by any Hip Hop artist who's broken out of Canada. I really like Kardinall Offishall and K-Os. Also Drake from Young Money has a really promising future. I'm feeling this joint from Big Page from Toronto though. I mean what can I say I can when a nigga is talking about being fly...enjoy.
I'm having a good Sunday chillin' out video chatting with the fam and what not. I'm really feeling this De La Soul joint "Stakes Is High"...enjoy...RIP Jay Dee
My name is John Adams. I've loved music since I was born. I've been playing drums since age 3 and I've been rapping since I was 10. I've performed coast to coast, performed in venues from LA to NY and a couple places in between. Now I feel I am facing my biggest challenge musically. I'm trying to make it with my friends in a rock band named SEX!. This isn't just a garage band of guys who just started jamming though. This a collection of some of the strongest musicians Berklee College of Music has to offer. We have been creating buzz and gaining backing from powerful people in the music industry as of late. Still there are those days where you want to slap the face off every member of your band. Then are the days where you are reminded that you are on the right path. Like when the publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine tells you you're going to go far in your career. Then a half hour later two members are at each other's neck ready to kill each other over an amp. There are times when you're in a meeting listening to one of your fellow bandmates argue with someone more seasoned in the indusrty than them and just wishing they would shut the hell up. I am not throwning anyone in my band under the bus because none of us are perfect. I'm just venting about the things you must endure while making it. An obstacles we have to deal with include two of us having serious solo endeavors and one of us playing a lot outside of the band struggling to provide adequate time to the group. I stand by my theory that if handled properly anything done outside of the band represent and promotes the band. All things considered I feel like I am a member of the quintessential rock band. You have the front man who's personality differs with the other guys, two guitarists one of which gains as much attention as the front man and the other is sometimes just "there", the bass player who doesn't say much and the loud sometimes outspoken drummer. Things are getting pretty serious pretty fast for us and I'm enjoying the experiece every step of the way. Please continue to support us and check us out at http://www.myspace.com/thisissexmusic Here we are at the Berklee Performance Center 2/4/09
This is just unacceptable. April 6 11 year old Carl Joseph Walker Hoover hung himself in Springfield, MA because of the amount of ridicule he received from his peers. His mother had been pleading with the school to address the issue but they were too late. Here's the news story.
Finally some GOOD NEWS! Robert Lemire of Lawrence, MA and Alex Day were walking outside of their apartment building last night and saw 18 month old Caliah Clark dangling from a window. She eventually fell 30 feet from the ground and was caught by two men. The father was putting his youngest to bed and said the window must've came unlatched because of his eldest two son unlocking it and throwing toys out the window. All I can say is is this man owes his a lot to these two men, one of whom was heading out for pizza and the other for bible study. It's kind of refreshing to see good news for a change although this event could've been very tragic.
President Obama unveiled his plan to send 4,000 troops to Afghanistan to keep Taliban rule out of the country and to dismantle al-Qaida. Here is a news conference from earlier this morning.
So as much as I'm a fan of Cam'ron I totally disagree with his pig headed approach to coming back together with Jim Jones and Juelz Santana. I know not everyone was a Diplomats fan but they were definitely trendsetters from 2002-2006. After a behind the scenes fall out the core members of Dipset disbanded. I believe that although it is not his obligation to sacrifice his personal opinion for the sake of the fan's enjoyment but I really wish these guys would get it together. Here is Cam denying a possible reunion.
I've been waiting for this supergroup to drop their first video. Slaughterhouse consists of Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", and Crooked I. Four of the best independent rappers in the game. Enjoy.
Om Hot 97 yesterday jim Jones reached out to long time friend and recent rival Cam'ron about a possible Diplomats reuninon. Jim and Cam have been throwing darts of ridicule at each other as of late and basically ruled out them ever working together. In their heyday the Diplomats were one of the most influential movements in Hip Hop. A reunion would definitely be a small step at bringing New York Hip Hop in the right direction.
In this news conference Tuesday night President Obama once again drives the point home about the mishandling of AIG and says that he is confident that the once stalled American economy is on the right track to recovery.
4 Oakland police officers and the 27 year old suspect were killed Saturday in what started out as a routine traffic stop. Motorcycle officers pulled over Lavell Mixon, a man on the runfor violating parole, when he began to open fire on them he then fled to a friend's house barricaded himself inside and once again opened fire on the police with an assault rifle until he was killed himself. All of this comes in the wake of the Oscar Grant killing and I have mixed feelings about the incident. Although my heart goes out to the families of all the victims I believe in the line of work the officers are in and in the lifestyle that Mixon chose to live death is something you face everyday and it caught up to them all that day. Tensions are high in Oakland right now and I do not believe this is the last of the people vs. the police.
A kindergarten teacher from Bridgeport, CT is under fire for making her student eat a bannana he threw away during he lunch. Don't the children need more fruit and vegetables anyway? Full story below
President Barack Obama hit the Jay Leno show Thursday night with his swagger on full tilt. He broke down problems with AIG and even revealed his pic for the NCAA championship. Check out the full interview.
Yo I miss the sound of traditional Hip Hop. I got into rap at a very young age but around 1990 I developed an understanding for the craft Here are some unsung classics from my youth.
Alright now I'm a fan of music but when I heard the news that Kid Cudi is going to "retire" after his first album drops I lost some respect for him. He sites ridicule from his peers and loss of friends as his reasons for doing so. I may be wrong for judging but he is in a position I and countless others would kill to be in. I just saw him last week on tour with Common. He's co signed by one of the hottest rappers in the world, Kanye West, and has a solid fan base across the world. I truly believe he needs to develop thicker skin because he is not the first person to endure the pain of making it as an artist in the music industry. I find it hard to believe no one warned him he would lose friends and family would talk bad about him, that's all a part of the game homey. The fans are not here here to sympathize for you for being famous and making money. The fans are here to listen to and critique your music, that's it and that's all. Whatever his "retirement" just means that's one more vacant spot in the game for me, Holla!!! Click the pic for his full "I Quit" blog
I had a show last night at Middle East Upstairs and it was pretty dope. I was backed by just a DJ and guitar and it was a different experience. I had lots of fun and am looking forward to my next show in Boston next month at Bill's Bar. Here are some pics from that night.
Bernard Madoff, who was arrested December 11, 2009 for heading a Ponzi scheme which cost investors tens of billions of dollars, was sent to jail yesterday. The crowd cheered when the judge denied Madoff time out of jail until sentencing. With the recession raging out of control this is something to smile about. Watch the full story below.
Now I gave you my top 5 MC's yesterday and I'm going to bring it home to the west today. Here are the 5 MC's to look out for from California who have yet to drop...these dudes got heat.
Here are my five favorite MC's who have yet to release their debut album(I excluded Saigon and Joell Ortiz from this list because they have dropped independent projects):
Man oh man this recession hurts. So I spent money I shouldnt've on a Mickey Factz concert last night and it was worth every penny. I did the same with Common the night before, While I was in the crowd at the House of Blues in Boston to see Common I was thinking, "I was part of the first band to ever play that stage and I will be back on it soon". While I was in the crowd at the Mickey Factz show the next night I was checking out the opening acts and they were getting minimal crowd response and I was thinking to myself, "I could rock the hell out of this room". Unfortunately the promoter, who will remain nameless, of this concert who I've met on different occasions refuses to let me open for any acts he brings into town and never returns an email or myspace message. He has my music and believe me it is definitely better than the trash he puts on stage to open up for the big name acts he brings in. I feel so slighted when I go to a concert that this man puts on because I know I'm going broke giving money to a man who doesn't want to give me a chance, but, I love Hip Hop so much I put those feelings to the back of my head and go to the show. Then the next morning comes and my stomach is growling like crazy and I rethink my decision. Was spending my last little bit of money on a show really worth the hunger pains I'm experiencing right now? Should I have just kicked it outside and passed out flyers for my show at the same venue this Sunday night? As much as I want to stay on the path to achieving my dream of making it in this music industry those questions still rise up every now and again. When those questions arise just reflect on the gifts God has given me and things start to fall into perspective. The trail to greatness has never been easy for anyone so the adversity I face only makes me stronger and molds my will to succeed. So promoters can front on me all they want, oppurtunities can be scarce, money can be low but in the words of my favorite rapper, Jay-Z, I will not lose!
I'm going to make it and you can't tell me nothing! I'm going to make it and you can't tell me nothing!
